1.5hrs | 10 - 30 Guests | $35 per person

Grab a fork and have a seat at the table as we welcome you to the epitome of Greek-style entertaining - the Greek meze table. Translated literally, the word meze means a taste or a bite. It is used to describe small plates of savory snacks that are served as a compliment to drinks. There are many different types of mezethes and the menu will vary according to locale.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
In this interactive and hands-on class, @myfamilysfooddiary Food Blogger and Photographer Eleni shares two quintessential Greek meze recipes renowned in all Greek kitchens, Zucchini Fritters known as Kolokithokeftedes and Cheese Triangle Pies, known as Tiropitakia!

Zucchini and feta fritters or patties are a well-known Greek dish “kolokithokeftedes.” Essentially the Greek mezze dish is a fried mixture of grated zucchini, herbs, feta, eggs and flour. You will fall in love with this recipe as fritters are so herby, aromatic and can adapt them to serve for breakfast, light meal or even a side dish. They are so addictive!

Tiropitakia, translated directly to mean little cheese pies, are a quintessential Greek snack food and all-time nostalgic favourite. Each family has its own version of these melt-in-your-mouth morsels that they swear by, however they are essentially made with layers of buttered filo pastry and filled with a cheese-egg mixture and herbs.

Chef Instructor Eleni will provide a detailed demonstration, before you will be guided step-by-step through learning how to cook prepare, shape and bake these two dishes. By the end of this class, you'll have learnt how to replicate two traditional Greek classics at home, as well as being enlightened about Greek culture and cuisine!
