Korean Mandu Kimchi Dumplings

Roll up those sleeves and prepare to get wrapping as MasterChef Contestant Jo Kendray teaches the art of making Korean Kimchi Dumplings!


1.5hrs | 10 - 30 Guests | $40 per person

Escape to the bustling streets of Seoul to learn the art of making authentic Korean Kimchi dumplings traditionally called Mandu! Hosted by MasterChef Contestant and lover of all things Asian cuisine Jo Kendray, you will have the unique opportunity to roll up your sleeves and learn this craft from an expert, appreciating the joy of Asian cooking and the ease of making your own dumplings at home!


WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Making dumplings by hand is a labour of love, with the process being both an incredibly therapeutic one, and a fun one that gets the whole family involved! In this hands-on and interactive class, MasterChef Jo shares the wisdom that was passed down to her by beloved Asian dumpling master Nancy, during her time working with Melbourne's iconic Asian Fusion restaurant Supernormal. After Chef Jo takes you through a detailed demonstration, you will be guided step-by-step through refining your knife skills, making dumpling fillings and learning the art of folding your dumpling wrappers into various traditional shapes. You will be making the traditional Pork and Kimchi dumplings with sweet potato noodles and tofu, which may also be modified into a vegetarian version. You will also learn how to make a dipping sauce. Once you have created your masterpieces, you will then plate and devour your creations with your new found foodie friends!

WHO WILL BE HOSTING YOUR EVENT:

Your host this evening will be food ambassador and enthusiast, sauces and spices creator and Season 10 MasterChef Australia contestant Jo Kendray. After risking it all to pursue her dream of competing on the most watched cooking show in the country, Jo's life completely changed. Jo has gone on to work and collaborate with leaders in the food industry, host cooking events at Melbourne's food markets, create food tours and recipes for her growing following base. Jo's latest venture has been launching her very own sauces and spices range reflecting her passion for asian fusion and barbecue!
